Westminster Outdoor Public Pool

The Westminster Outdoor Pool has been a summer staple of the community since it was originally built in 1948 by the Lions Club of Lethbridge.  In 1978 the original pool was demolished and rebuilt.  With the historical design of the pool preserved, children are learning to swim and have fun the same way many of their parents did when they were kids.

The Westminster Outdoor Pool offers a variety of activities in lane swimming, public swim, Red Cross swimming lessons and other public programs.  The pool is a 6 lane, L shaped pool with two water slides in the deep end.  There is also a rectangular kiddie pool with three water fountains.  The Westminster Outdoor Pool also accommodates to school groups, birthday parties and other private rentals. The Westminster Pool is only open from Father's Day in June to the long weekend in September.

There is a grass picnic area, picnic tables, umbrellas for shade and an onsite concession stand.  Please use sunscreen while visiting our outdoor pool.  No smoking, glass or pets allowed in the pool area. We are a CASH ONLY facility.  We do not accept credit cards, debit cards or cheques. There is, however, an ATM in the pool lobby.
