Popson Park is located in the southernmost part of the west side of Lethbridge. It originated as part of the Urban Park Project funded by the Provincial Government. The Oldman River forms the eastern and southern boundary of the park and it is a combination of flat land along the river and coulees to the west.
The river provides fishing and boating opportunities and many boaters will launch their boats from this area (caution: the weir is downstream, portage around it).
This park is also a designated off-leash dog park. Please remember this is home to rattlesnakes and to pick up after your pet.
