 Henderson Lake Park

What’s big, full of trees, and has water all over? Henderson Lake Park, of course! This picturesque park is not just a beautiful stop in the city for those who want to take a tranquil walk; it’s also a great place to ride Bird e-scooters. Just be aware you can’t park them inside of the park boundary, but just outside of the park is fine!

Once you have your Bird e-Scooter and make your way over to Henderson Lake Park, you can enjoy the scenic views or take a pit stop at one of the many amazing attractions in the area. Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden and the Bunka Centre with Cleo’s Café inside are located on the western end of Henderson Lake Park. If the gardens aren’t your thing, why not take a quiet stroll through the garden or enjoy a drink inside the Café before heading back out on your Bird e-Scooter.

From Henderson Lake Park, you have endless options! You can head to the delicious Firestone Restaurant in the Coast Hotel, just a few minutes ride away! Or, you can follow the Lakeview Green Strip that runs along Glacier Drive South and stop for a sweet treat at either Swirls Ice Cream Shop or the Movie Mill & Soda Mill to grab a refreshing beverage, some ice cream, or some delicious freshly popped popcorn!

If you want to stay a little closer to the lake, you can always stop by the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre, where the Saturday Famers' Market is hosted alongside many other events throughout the year. If you're more of a sports fan, you can always catch a baseball game at the Spitz Stadium; just make sure to cheer extra loud for the Lethbridge Bulls!

7th Ave/Bike Boulevard

Connecting to Henderson Lake Park via 7th Avenue, going past Henderson Pool and SLP Skate Park is the beginning of the bike boulevard! While it may be titled for bikes, any wheeled transportation can benefit from its seclusion and separation from other main streets! Take a scenic ride from Henderson Lake down the bike boulevard and enjoy the canopy of trees over the road and the beautiful houses lining it.

There are lots of businesses just a block or two away from the Bike Boulevard! Head down one Avenue from the Bike Boulevard to 6th Ave. South, where you can find some delicious local ice cream from Milkman Milk Bar! You can also try heading one block up from Bike Boulevard to 8th Ave. S for a light snack and cup of tea at The Jasmine Room. No matter where on the Bike Boulevard you are, there’s something scrumptious just around the corner!

Downtown Lethbridge

Conveniently, Bike Boulevard connects to the downtown core of Lethbridge, which might be the most opportune place in the city to use a Bird e-scooter! With so many local businesses, like Cookie CrimesSill & Soil, and Analog Books, all on Festival Square and many local attractions in the area, Bird is the best way to experience all the best things in downtown Lethbridge quickly, conveniently and in an eco-friendly way!

Head into Galt Gardens just across the street from Casa, enjoy some time in the sun, and maybe even have a splash at the Rotary Centennial Fountain! From there, you can stay put and head to Southern Alberta Art Gallery to view incredible local art from around the city, province, and country! From there, you can take a stroll around Festival Square to shop, eat, and enjoy all the local businesses located on Festival Square!

If the arts aren't your thing, and shopping doesn't pique your interest, maybe some hard facts and history are more up your alley! Head to the Galt Museum and Archives to learn about the history and past of our incredible city! Then, embark on the interactive Driftscape Historical Tours brought to you by Tourism Lethbridge in partnership with the Lethbridge Historical Society, where you can put that knowledge to the test in the real world!

Learn about our city's history and how the excellent coal rush lit the fire that created today's Lethbridge.
