Thunder in the Bridge: Lethbridge's Ultimate Outdoor Music Festival!

August 29, 2024

Get ready to experience Lethbridge’s biggest music event of the year as the Thunder in the Bridge Outdoor Music Festival takes over the VisitLethbridge.com Arena (formerly the Enmax Centre) next weekend! This inaugural festival is a celebration of the arena’s 50-year history, bringing together the community for two unforgettable days of music, food, and fun. The festival grounds, located in the east parking lot of the arena, will be buzzing with activity from start to finish.

The festival kicks off on Friday, September 6, with two themed days that promise something for everyone. Day one is dedicated to rock enthusiasts, with Thunder in the Bridge - Rock Day, presented by 106.7 ROCK. Headlining the stage will be the global rock sensations Our Lady Peace, supported by iconic bands Headstones and I Mother Earth. Prepare for a night of high-energy performances that will leave you buzzing!

On Saturday, September 7, the festival shifts gears with Thunder in the Bridge - Country Day, brought to you by Wild 95.5. Country music fans can look forward to a stellar lineup featuring chart-topping artist Walker Hayes, alongside rising stars Cooper Alan and Tyler Braden. It’s going to be a foot-stomping, heart-pounding celebration of country music that you won’t want to miss!

In addition to the big-name headliners, Thunder In The Bridge will also shine a spotlight on Lethbridge’s own musical talent. On Rock Day, festival-goers can catch electrifying performances from local rock bands Paul Kype and Texas Flood, The Definitive, Northern Royals, and Tyrants of Chaos. Meanwhile, Country Day will feature some of the best local country acts, including Cody Hall Music, Coyote Junction, Luke James Bruce, TrainWreck Band Lethbridge, and Eric Braun. These hometown heroes will kick off each day’s festivities, adding an authentic local vibe to this massive event.

A Festival 50 Years in the Making

To honour five decades of memorable events at the arena, the Thunder in the Bridge festival has been specially curated for the fans and supporters who have made this milestone possible. Whether you’ve rocked out at concerts, cheered on your favourite sports teams, or enjoyed family events at the arena, this festival is your chance to create new memories with friends, family, and fellow music lovers.
