Street Machine Weekend 2024

Car enthusiasts come together from far and wide for one weekend in Lethbridge every year. It's filled with classic cars, revving motors, and a Show & Shine that attracts people from across borders. Street Machine Weekend has been a staple signature event in Lethbridge for over a decade, and it only gets bigger every year! Below is a list of all the official Street Machine Weekend events around the city!

Friday July 14th

Tourism Lethbridge Street Machine Weekend Poker Run

To kick things off and get everyone's engines revving for the Street Machine Weekend, Tourism Lethbridge is putting on a Poker Run! The Poker Run will have classic car owners and enthusiasts heading out around the city to 6 Unique Attractions, where they will receive one card at random to add to their poker hand. All six locations will remain a secret until the day of the poker run when participants will get all the information they need at their first stop, the Tourism Lethbridge Visitor Information Centre!

Participants will receive a playing card at each location to build their poker hand, which will determine their final score! The best hand at the end of the run wins! Participants can play whenever they want between 12 and 5 PM on July 14th. However, participants are asked not to arrive at the Lethbridge Pure Casino until 5 PM when Tourism Lethbridge will collect participants' hands, and a winner will be declared! to register for the poker run, click the button below!

Classic Car Controlled Cruise Presented by Davis GMC Buick

Calling all the cool and clean classic car owners! The first official Street Machine Weekend event is the Classic Car Controlled Cruise, which will be held from 7 PM to 10 PM on Friday, July 12th. This cruise will be a beautiful rolling car show along 3rd Avenue South! Whether you want to see some classic cars in tip-top condition or have one you want to show off, this is the perfect way to end the first day of Street Machine Weekend!

 Saturday July 15th

100 Ft Drag Races Presented by CEP Automotive at Exhibition Park

Start your engines, and may the best drag racer, win! The 100-foot drag races kick off the events for Saturday with six classes of high-octane fun! Registration starts at 7 AM and the races themselves at 10 AM. It's $10 for each spectator's entry into the spectating area, with kids 13 and under getting in for free. Spectator gates open at 9 AM so make sure to get there early to get a good seat!

Sunday July 16th

Show and Shine at Galt Gardens

Street Wheelers Weekend wouldn’t be complete without a show and shine in Galt Gardens to end things off! From 8 AM – 12 PM, drivers can register their classic cars in the Show & Shine, where they can then spend the day in the gardens speaking with other car enthusiasts and admirers. Show & Shines are always a bit more fun with some friendly competition, so stick around until 3 PM to see the awards for this year’s Show & Shine handed out to the best of the best in Galt Gardens!
