Canada Day in Lethbridge is always a blast! With a wide range of events, activities, and celebrations going on around Lethbridge, there’s sure to be more than one way to celebrate Canada Day in Lethbridge! No matter where in the city you are, there is likely to be something you can do to celebrate Canada! Galt Gardens and Henderson Lake Park are just a few of the amazing venues hosting some great activities in the city on Canada Day.

Henderson Lake Park

Henderson Lake Park is the hub for Canada Day celebrations in Lethbridge every year, so it’s no surprise it is this year. Not only is this one of Lethbridge’s largest parks, but is also perfect for celebrating Canada however you want! Keep reading to learn all about the incredible programming that will be happening at Henderson Lake Park on Canada Day 2023!

Henderson Lake Fireworks

Don’t leave too early, or you’ll miss the main event, and the only way to truly end Canada Day is in Lethbridge! Once the clock strikes 11 PM on the evening of Canada Day, the lake is set alight with a vibrant display of multicolored fireworks! End Canada Day in Lethbridge with everyone under a sky full of beautiful and booming fireworks!

Henderson Lake Mainstage

The Henderson Lake Main Stage is sponsored by Pattison Media once again this year and will feature live performances from local artists, community members, and more, all through the day. Programming runs from 11 AM to 10:45 PM, with Special Guest Speakers scheduled at 4 PM, and the main stage programming wrapping up just before the fireworks, there is ample opportunity all day to head to the Main stage and enjoy incredible live performances by local acts!

Henderson Lake Kids Zone

The Henderson Lake Kids zone is the perfect place for little Canadians to play and celebrate in their own way on Canada Day. Open from 12 – 8 PM you can expect face paint, bouncy castles, and so much more awaiting the little ones in the kid zone! Guardians are required to remain with children at all times, so mom and dad can join in on all the fun in the kid zone too! Don’t forget to check out the Kids Artisan Market as well!

Cooper Equipment Food Hub

The Cooper Equipment Food Hub is the place to go on Canada day in Lethbridge once you start craving delicious local food! A long line up of incredible, local, and mobile food vendors in Lethbridge, means this is sure to be the station of satisfied hunger this Canada Day!

Henderson Lake Park Run

Start the festivities off with a workout! Join the Lethbridge Park Run at 9 AM for a special Canada Day Park Run around Henderson Lake Park!

Canada Day Celebrations at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden

If you are stopping by Henderson Lake during Canada Day, then make sure that you also stop by Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden, located adjacent to Henderson Lake! The Garden will be open, with Lethbridge Community Taiko Performances, Tad & Tomo Storytime, Minyo Dancing, and a Cleo Mower’s Happy Hour. Finish celebrating Canada Day in the Gardens by watching the Canada Day Fireworks from one of the most beautiful places in the city!

Galt Gardens

There will also be a party in the park hosted in Galt Gardens in downtown Lethbridge from 9 AM – 3 PM. There will be many attractions and concessions throughout the day, with a show & shine hosted by LeBarons Car Club, and a charity pancake breakfast benefitting the Interfaith Food Bank. Come to Celebrate Canada Day in Galt Gardens when all the fun starts at 9 AM on July 1st!

Galt Gardens Breakfast

Start your day off on the right foot with a delicious breakfast at Galt Gardens. The breakfast is complimentary and begins being served at the gardens at 9 AM. Everyone is encouraged to come and visit the park while enjoying a delicious complimentary breakfast hosted by Interfaith Food Bank.

Galt Gardens Show n’ Shine

Suppose you’re already getting your engines roaring for street wheelers a week later in July. In that case, you can always head over to Galt Gardens on Canada Day. The Lebaron's Car Club will be hosting a show and shine from 8 AM to 5 PM on July 1st. All car registrations for the day are $10, with all proceeds going to the Interfaith Food Bank.

Lethbridge Bulls Double-Header Game

Celebrate Canada Day around the diamond with the Lethbridge Bulls as they go head-to-head against the Swift Current 57s twice in one day. Game times are 2:05 PM and 7:35 PM, so no matter when you’re out and about, or if you feel like taking a break from the Henderson festivities, there’s an enthralling baseball gaming waiting to be enjoyed at Spitz Stadium. The perfect way to celebrate Canada Day in Lethbridge!

Heritage Days in Raymond

If you're looking to celebrate Canada Day the Raymond way, then look no further than Heritage days! starting June 29th and going until the end of Canada Day on July 1st, its three days packed full of celebrations, excitement, and community spirit. From 3 on 3 Basketball tournaments, a Stampede Rodeo, to the Renowned Smith Family Firework and the July 1st Rotary Parade. All that and way more is waiting just outside of lethbridge in the town of Raymond for Heritage Days!

Triple Band Bash

If you aren’t into the hustle and bustle of the big events in the city and are more interested in heading downtown to one of the coolest live music venues in town, then you’re in luck! The Slice Bar & Grill is hosting a triple band bash at 8 PM on July 1st! Catch 3 of Alberta’s best rock and alternative acts under one roof, one night only, with Good Love, Howells, and Hungry Hollow.
