Henderson Lake Park

Henderson Lake Park is the hub for Canada Day celebrations in Lethbridge every year, so it’s no surprise the tradition continues again this year. Not only is this one of Lethbridge’s largest parks, but it’s also the perfect to celebrate Canada Day from the first light of sunrise until the last firework floats away as smoke! Henderson Lake Fireworks

Don’t leave Henderson Lake Park too early, or you’ll miss the main event. The only way to truly end Canada Day is with fireworks in Lethbridge! Once the clock strikes 11 PM on Canada Day, the lake becomes a mirror to the sky set alight with a vibrant display of multicoloured fireworks! End Canada Day in Lethbridge with everyone under a sky full of beautiful and booming fireworks!

Henderson Lake Mainstage

The Henderson Lake Main Stage will once again feature live performances from local artists, community members, and more all day long. Programming runs from 11 AM to 10:45 PM, with the main stage programming wrapping up just before the fireworks. No matter what time you make it to Henderson Lake Park on Canada Day, you’ll be able to find amazing local programming all day on the Main stage!

Henderson Lake Activity Zone

The Henderson Lake will also feature an activity zone, the perfect place for Canadians of all ages to celebrate Canada Day at Henderson Lake Park. Open from 12 – 8 PM; you can expect face painting, bouncy castles, puppet shows, and so much more awaiting everyone in the activity zone! Guardians must always remain with children in the activity zone, so mom and dad can join in on all the fun in the Activity zone, too! Remember to also check out the Youth Vendor Market to support young local entrepreneurs!

Henderson Lake Food Trucks

It’s hard to enjoy all the incredible activities happening on Canada Day in Lethbridge once you get hungry! Luckily, for everyone planning to be at Henderson Lake Park, there will be a plethora of local food trucks to find what you’re fancying and enjoy the perfect Canada Day snack. A long line-up of incredible, local, and mobile food vendors in Lethbridge means Henderson Lake Park is sure to be the station for satisfying hunger this Canada Day!

Start the Canada Day festivities in Lethbridge with a workout! Join the Lethbridge Park Run at 9 AM for a special Canada Day Park Run around Henderson Lake Park!

Canada Day Celebrations at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden

If you are stopping by Henderson Lake during Canada Day, make sure you also stop by Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden, located adjacent to Henderson Lake! The Garden will be open until 11:30 PM, with the last entry at 10:30 PM to watch the fireworks. The Garden will have programming throughout the day, with Lethbridge Community Taiko Performances, Minyo Dancing, Origami in the Pavilion, and a Sunset Sake Outdoor Bar. Galt Gardens

There will also be there will also be a plethora of Canada Day Celebrations at Galt Gardens downtown from 9 AM – 3 PM. There will be many attractions and concessions throughout the day, with a show & shine hosted by LeBarons Car Club and a charity pancake breakfast benefitting the Interfaith Food Bank. Come to Celebrate Canada Day in Galt Gardens when all the fun starts at 9 AM on July 1st!

Galt Gardens Charity Breakfast Hosted by Interfaith Food Bank

Start your day on the right foot with a delicious breakfast at Galt Gardens. The breakfast is complimentary and starts at Galt Gardens at 9 AM. Everyone is encouraged to come and visit the park while enjoying a delicious complimentary breakfast hosted by Interfaith Food Bank.

Le Barons Car Club Show n’ Shine in Galt Gardens

Suppose you're already getting your engines roaring for street wheelers on the second weekend of July from the 13th to the 15th. You can get in on the action early this year at Galt Gardens on Canada Day. The Lebaron's Car Club will host a show and shine from 8 AM to 5 PM on July 1st. All car registrations for the day are $10, with all proceeds going to the Interfaith Food Bank.

Lethbridge Bulls Double-Header Game at Spitz Stadium

Celebrate Canada Day around the diamond with the Lethbridge Bulls as they go head-to-head against the Sylvan Lake Gulls twice in one day. Game times are 2:05 PM and 7:35 PM, so no matter when you’re out and about, or if you feel like taking a break from the Henderson Lake festivities, there’s a baseball gaming waiting to be enjoyed at Spitz Stadium. Heritage Days in Raymond

If you want to celebrate Canada Day the Raymond way, look no further than Heritage Days! Starting June 29th and going until the end of Canada Day on July 1st, Heritage Days is three days packed full of celebrations, excitement, and community spirit, from 3-on-3 Basketball tournaments and a Stampede Rodeo to the Renowned Smith Family Firework and the July 1st Rotary Parade. All that and way more is waiting just outside of Lethbridge in the town of Raymond for Heritage Days!
