Jasmine Room

You were only planning to pop in for a few minutes, but perusing the lavishly stocked boutique, that plan has quickly been kiboshed. The room is a heady trip of colours, textures, and nostalgia. Every surface, every space, every nook and cranny is adorned with some sort of extraordinary item that you can’t seem to take your eyes away from. It’s almost as if you’ve wandered into your Great Grandmother’s parlor, and although it feels that you’ve magically stepped into the past, there is a brilliant scattering of beautiful objects that are very much part of today. Shimmering stones shine out from the clasp of pewter settings, hand-stitched quilts and pillows pile up in an inviting array, fragrant soaps and bath crystals beg to meet your bathtub. You could easily spend an hour here – and you haven’t even ventured into the heavenly Tea Room on the opposite side of the wall.

The Jasmine Room is a gorgeously adorned shop and luncheon spot that caters to the whimsical soul in us all. Shop to your heart’s content, or sit down to a lovely lunch of soup, salad, and sandwiches. Of course there’s plenty of tea to choose from – over 200 varieties in fact, that you can either sip while you’re here or take with you when you go.
