This week and through to August 21st, Alberta is going to be on the plate with the “Alberta on the Plate” dine around experience, which also coincides with Alberta Local Food Week and Open Farm Days!

Alberta on the Plate is a 10-day dine-around adventure that ties dozens of incredible restaurants in Alberta together. The result is an experience built to show tourists and locals a like how incredible it can be when you put Alberta one the plate.

Alberta Local Food Week is an initiative put on by Alberta Food Tourism created to encourage locals and tourists alike to discover local foods, and coincides with Alberta on the Plate!

So, what is Alberta on the Plate more specifically, and what can you expect at participating locations? Well for 10 days, select restaurants in Alberta offer a multi-course, fixed price menus highlighting local producers, growers, distillers and brewers. Lucky for those in the Lethbridge and Southern Alberta Region, we have multiple restaurants participating!

The program is strategically timed in conjunction with Alberta Local Food Week, and wraps up the same weekend as Open Farm Days.  Closing the loop from farm-to-table. It brings the same farm freshness to the plate all across Alberta. With the addition of the Canada’s Food Tour, Visitors of Lethbridge can experience Alberta on the Plate and Alberta Local Food Week like nowhere else.

With Many of the Lethbridge and Southern Alberta participants part of the Canada’s food or Highway 3 Ale Trail, you can enjoy both the Alberta on a Plate, celebrate Alberta Local Food Week, as well as the self-guided tours we have created, for the ultimate Alberta on the Plate and Local Food Week experience.
