Celebrate Pride in Lethbridge

June 2, 2022

Lethbridge is proud to say that we have a thriving and lively 2SLGBTQIA+ community living in our city. After two full years without a proper pride celebration (thanks, COVID); Lethbridge is incredibly excited to welcome the world back to celebrate feeling loud and proud.

Crosswalks

Just before Pride month, Lethbridge saw the addition of two new permanent crosswalks of the updated pride flag and the trans flag on 3rd Ave South. The crosswalks use a special paint meant to withstand differing weather conditions and degradation from being driven on over time better than previous paints. The crosswalks also feature a porous concrete base to help absorb the paint.

To learn more about the construction and funding for the permanent pride sidewalk installation, read out the blog on the launch and unveiling of the crosswalks!

You can find these crosswalks while downtown for some of the many pride events this June! Keep Reading to get all the info on the city's best pride events to attend!
