The Windy City Tattoo Show 2023 Blows Into Lethbridge This Weekend!

The Windy City Tattoo Show is back in the Lethbridge with some of the province's best tattoo artists in attendance from September 15-17th. You can expect to see show-stopping pieces created on the floor throughout the day and then on show for judges every night. All in addition to thrilling live performances each day and various vendors of handmade goods and tattooing supplies!

The Windy City Tattoo Show will have an adults-only night on Friday, September 15th, from 2 PM – 12 AM, and then everyone is welcome on Saturday, September 16th, from 12 PM – 11 PM, and Sunday, September 17th, from 12 PM – 7 PM. Admission is available at the doors for a $20 day pass, or $50 for a weekend pass, with kids 12 & under getting in for free Saturday and Sunday.

Once you get in, there are many talented provincial, national, and even international artists, including the renowned Jime Litwalk, who competed in the third season of “Ink Masters". With so many talented artists under one roof and a wide selection in style and variety to choose from and each artist with their specialty, there is something to fit every taste and free space.

Artists are willing to adjust some of their designs if something catches your eye but is too big or small. Be polite and ask nicely, and understand the artists are always allowed to turn down requests but are usually more than happy to accommodate when they can! Some artists are also willing to take custom requests with a bit of planning in advance, so if you have something specific in mind, make sure to get there early with a game plan and see what the artists can do.

Like any other tattoo experience, respecting an artist’s time and work is tantamount, so try to be understanding if they can’t make something work this time. While it’s incredibly fun for everyone, it is a busy few days for artists. As we mentioned, arriving early with a game plan and being polite is a great way to boost your chances of walking out of the Windy City Tattoo Show with fresh ink!

Once you and any of the fantastic artists have agreed on a time and tattoo, you can head back to the front of the show floor to grab a waiver to fill out, sign, and get your artist to sign so you can get your tattoo done. Once the waiver has all the required signatures and information, return it to the front for a wristband, signifying you’re ready to get your tattoo! Just don’t forget to make sure you have cash on hand to pay your artist; if you need cash, ATMs are located throughout the Agrifood Hub & Trade Centre.

From there, remember to breathe, and you’ll have a beautiful new tattoo in no time! But that doesn’t mean the fun ends at the Windy City Tattoo Show once you have your tattoo! Many vendors accompany the tattoo artists on the showroom floor, with a wide selection of handmade art, homewares, and more. There are also permanent jewelry and piercing booths offering more than just tattoos at the Windy City Tattoo Show!

There is also live entertainment on the main stage throughout each day of the show, with performances from live acts, tattoo contests, giveaways and more; there’s much more than just tattoos to see at the Windy City Tattoo Show!
