Wide Skies Music Festival 2024 Turns Up the Volume July 30th - 31st

The wide blue skies of summer, sparsely speckled with cumulus clouds, have returned to Lethbridge, which means Wide Skies Music & Art Festival is right around the corner, running from July 30th – 31st in Lethbridge! Wide Skies Music Festival offers two nights of incredible live music under the wide open southern Albertan summer skies in Lethbridge for an outdoor concert experience like no other! The concert series will be hosted once again on the 5th floor of the park and ride terminal from 6:15 – 9:30 PM in Downtown Lethbridge! Get ready to tap your feet to some local tunes and shake and shimmy in our city's downtown with Wide Skies Music & Arts Festival brought to you by Geomattic Attic!

July 30th

Skinny Dyck – 6:15 PM

The playful alias of Ryan Dyck, Skinny Dyck, rules the stage and holds the audience’s attention with acoustic tunes laced with creativity and originality, making this more than just another solo country act. Following successful Canadian and European tours in 2024, Skinny Dyck now has his sights set on his upcoming album set to release this year, with the singles “Can’t Change the Colour of Your Eyes” and “Easygoing” out now ahead of the album. JJ Shiplett – 7:30 PM

JJ Shiplett will perform on July 30th at Wide Skies Music Festival, channelling his Gruff yet dynamic and powerful voice for audiences at 7:30 PM. After sharing the stage with many incredible Canadian musicians during his career, including Ben Harper, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Dwight Yoakam, The Sheepdogs, Serena Ryder, Michael Bernard Fitzgerald, Johnny Reid, and more, JJ Shiplett has now been leading the stage on his own since his 2017 debut, “Something to Believe in” Shiplett has since seen his songs climb to the #3 spot on the CBC Music’s Top 202, and now boasts over 10 million streams globally. Celeigh Cardinal 9:15 PM

This Juno Award-winning artist knows how to captivate an audience through humour and vulnerability, allowing her to connect deeply with each audience she performs for. Now, hot off the tail of her latest full-length release, “Boundless Possibilities,” She returns to the Wide Skies Stage once again to wow audiences and invite them to bask in an intimate and sensational sound, along with captivating storytelling and soul-soothing singing. With a voice that captures songs that keep the listener’s attention long after the last note has rang out, You don’t want to miss Celeigh Cardinal when she hits the stage at Wide Skies Music Festival.

Moranz & Fremlin – 6:15 PM

This dynamic bluegrass duo is like the first falling leaf on the last summer breeze, constantly on the cusp of what is coming next but still firmly planted in the present. Having formed in 2023, they have been lighting up stages and captivating audiences throughout Alberta with their simple ethos of string and timbre. As they work on their debut album, don’t miss this chance to hear what’s soon to come from them at their Wide Skies Music Festival Performance on July 31st.

Terra Lightfoot – 7:30 PM

Following her 2023 release, “Healing Power,” Terra Lightfoot has taken the album on the road, with a stop in Lethbridge for the Wide Skies Music Festival, where audiences can expect to be wowed by her sprawling and soulful voice. Healing Power delivers a robust selection of pop-rock selections that will have audiences up on their feet and moving to the beat! MonkeyJunk – 9:15 PM

Closing out this year’s Wide Skies Music Festival is MonkeyJunk! Synonymous with the emergence of a new kind of blues on the Canadian and international scenes, MonkeyJunk has been continually pushing boundaries and blurring genre lines since its inception. With over 15 years of performing together and 2 Juno awards, they will surely give an incredible closing show for the Wide Skies Music Festival 2024!
