Lethbridge Officially Launches CultureLINK Bus Route!

Monday, June 27th 2022, The City of Lethbridge, Tourism Lethbridge, and Lethbridge Transit Services officially launched their newest transit program; the Lethbridge cultureLINK bus route. The Lethbridge cultureLINK bus route is a fare-free bus route connecting six major attractions in Lethbridge, running from June 27th to September 30th, 2022.
The City of Lethbridge created the Lethbridge cultureLINK bus route in collaboration with the Helen Schuler Nature Centre, The Galt Museum & Archives, the Southern Alberta Art Gallery, Casa, Fort Whoop-up, and Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden, as well as Tourism Lethbridge and Lethbridge Transit. The bus will be running 7 days a week from 10 AM to 7 PM.
The Bus route features a hop-on-hop-off flexibility by being free of charge. Those riding the bus can hop on and off at whichever stops they choose without having to worry about losing their fare. The bus route will also help connect residents and visitors with parts of the city that haven’t been accessible to those using the transit system beforehand.
Routes providing access to the river bottom and its attractions are requests that Lethbridge Transit’s General Manager has said citizens have been making “for years.” With the inclusion of both river bottom attractions in the route, the river bottom will have transit routes for public access for the first time. Those looking to use all the river bottom offers can now also enjoy not having to worry about parking.
Buses will be arriving at each stop every 20 minutes throughout the summer. Tourism Lethbridge will be offering support inside the buses, with travel counsellors present most Monday through Saturday. Travel Counsellors will help inform and educate not only on the attractions but also about the city.
Those riding the cultureLINK bus can also use the bus’s route to head back to the city centre after visiting all six attractions. Visitors can catch a bite to eat, shop, or attend one of the many events downtown this summer. The cultureLINK bus is here to connect you to all the incredible attractions in Lethbridge!
