Savour Alberta's South Farm to Fork Initiative

November 1st to 21st

Each November, the Farm to Fork initiative celebrates local food across Southern Alberta. Located in Canada's Premier Food Corridor, Lethbridge has some of the best growing conditions in the country, resulting in some of the tastiest food. We’ve spoken with restaurants across the city to learn which of their dishes feature these delicious ingredients, and now we’re passing the list on to you. Get a taste of local cheeses, meats, and vegetables in just one bite!

Flavours of Lethbridge Recipe Book

You may of heard that we released part two of our Flavours of Lethbridge Recipe Book. This cookbook allows you recreate all the delicious meals found at local restaurants and bakeries. But how do you know which one to start with? By trying each recipe at the source of course! Take a food tour around the city and taste the flavours of Southern Alberta. Pick a favourite and see how well you can recreate it!

Casa

Exhibition Opening on November 7th

Casa is the home of the arts in Southern Alberta, and on November 7th they'll be revamping their galleries to welcome the work of nine new artists. Casa is known for showcasing art that pushes traditional boundaries, so you can expect to find many different types of pieces, from paintings to sculptures to textiles! And the best part? It's completely free!

If you want to do more than look at local art, visiting Casa during their annual Christmas market it a must. One of the most-anticipated events of the year, this local market brings together artists from across Lethbridge and Southern Alberta to showcase their work (and give us all an early start to our Christmas shopping).

Cool Beans Tour

What better way to hide from a cold wind than hunkering down in a local café? The Cool Beans tour on the Explore Lethbridge App features every local coffee shop in the city. Explore each one and try their take on your go-to order. Or if you're feeling ambitious, try some of their specialty drinks—each café has a few unique offerings. Disney's Frozen: The Broadway Musical

When: November 4th to 14th
Where: Yates Memorial Theatre

Winter is calling and asking whether it's time to build a snowman... If you're a fan of Disney's Frozen, then making a trip to Lethbridge to see the broadway version is a must! Enjoy the wintertime magic in the warmth of a cozy theatre—it's the best of both worlds!

Christmas Tree Lighting

When: November 19th
Where: Festival Square

Join Lethbridge locals downtown in Festival Square for the city's 5th annual Christmas Tree Lighting. This event features horse-drawn carriage rides, live music, games, crafts, a mini market, and more hot chocolate than you can imagine! Santa is even taking a night off from his busy schedule to make an appearance and get us all into the holiday cheer.

Catch a Hurricanes Hockey Game

When: November 6th, 13th 14th, 21st, 25th, 27th
Where: VisitLethbridge.com Arena

With hockey season back in full swing, we need everyone to get out and cheer on our local WHL team: the Lethbridge Hurricanes! Grab a friend or a family member and show your team spirit at on of the Hurricane's home games this month!
