To help you out, we've made a list of the best student experiences in Lethbridge to ensure your free time is filled with fun! Parks and Green Spaces
Lethbridge is home to over 130 parks and green spaces, providing plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors and experience nature. Hiking and walking are typical activities in the warmer months, but in the winter, people take advantage of the landscape to go cross-country skiing, sledding, or snowman-building! No matter the weather, there is a park for you.
The Lethbridge Solar System
Lethbridge has its very own solar system! Though this may sound strange, the Lethbridge Astronomy Society has brought a 1:253,000,000 scale ratio model of our solar system down to the city. With the Science Commons Building at the University of Lethbridge being home to Jupiter you don’t have to travel far from campus to live amongst the stars!
Hike High & Low
Home to over 200km of outdoor trails, Lethbridge is a hiker’s paradise—you can experience nature without even leaving the city! Lethbridge's coulees are filled with native plants and wildlife, ensuring your exploration will be anything but dull. To learn more, check out the hiking and biking options on AllTrails or on the City of Lethbridge’s website. And don’t forget to bring some water!

Nightlife in the Windy City
Good Times Comedy Club
Live entertainment is as common as the wind in Lethbridge! Good Times Comedy Club is an independent comedy club that hosts professional shows on the weekends along with open mic nights and other dedicated events during the week. Every visit is sure to have you laughing so hard you gain a new set of abs!
The Duke Pub
The Duke Pub offers a warm welcome to students in Lethbridge, providing a place to go for affordable food and drinks with friends. Located just a block from the University of Lethbridge campus, it is the perfect place to unwind after a big exam, or socialize with other students after a long study session!
Owl Acoustic Lounge
Owl Acoustic Lounge is a staple in the city when it comes to dinner, a show, and maybe even a few moves thrown around on the dance floor. A new line-up is released on the first of every month, so get a group together to cheer on your favourite live acts. Open mic nights, local bands, poetry, trivia, and more await your visit—it's sure to be a hoot!

Cultural Experiences
Art in the City
Both Casa and the Southern Alberta Art Gallery (SAAG) offer amazing displays of local art. If you want something a bit closer to home, however, there are also two art galleries located on the university campus! While exploring the city you may have also noticed that Lethbridge's art often reaches beyond these galleries. We are home to an abundance of outdoor murals and installations, all of which are available to find on this interactive map!
Local and Indigenous History
You can learn all about Lethbridge’s early history at Fort Whoop-Up and the Galt Museum & Archives. The Fort focuses on the era of the fur trade as well as Indigenous culture and experiences. If a more city-based history intrigues you, check out the Galt Museum to learn how the city became what we all know and love today.
Nikka Yuko
The Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden is a tranquil escape in the heart of the city. Featuring a pavilion, water features, and a rock garden, visitors are welcome to explore the garden's peaceful environment. Check out their traditional tea ceremonies, Yukata rentals, or even origami lessons! In the winter, the garden even turns into a Winter Lights Festival allowing visitors to view the gardens in a new light!

See It All with a Lethbridge Presents Pass
The Lethbridge Presents Pass is the ultimate attraction pass in Lethbridge. If you're on a tight budget, this pass is perfect as it allows you to visit local attractions for free! Some passes can be put on hold, and others are given out through monthly draws. Check out the public library's webpage for more information.

The Galt Museum offers $10 walking tours for anyone interested in learning the downtown's history. Your knowledgable guide will weave a tale of epic highs and lows as early Lethbridgians fought to prosper in the city's early days.
