It is time to bring some sparkle to the long winter nights! As the holidays approach during these uncertain times, we are all looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. Luckily for us, the #YQLocals have lit up the night with fabulous — sometimes singing — lights! From the lights to the songs it is easy to experience the displays from the comfort of your own vehicle!

Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden Winter Light Festival

Experience Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens in the dazzling, sparkling lights of the Winter Light Festival!

Bundle up, grab your household, book your tickets and get in the holiday spirit! With 1000’s of lights lighting up the dark nights, beautiful ice sculptures, and other surprises throughout the garden is truly one of the most magical places in Lethbridge this time of year! Learn about Japanese customs and traditions as you explore the garden in a new light!

COVID Update

Due to COVID-19 restrictions walk-ups will not be accommodated at this time — please remember to purchase your tickets in advance.

  • Masks must be worn at all times while inside the garden, visitor centre/ gift shop.

  • Guests may only attend in groups from the same household (cohort).

  • Giftshop is limited to 2 groups of cohorts at a time — please ask for assistance when purchasing items to limit the number of touchpoints.

Groves Christmas Lights

2022 7 Ave S

For a magical, musical holiday experience head to 2022 7 Ave S and tune in to 106.1 FM! For years the Grove Family has put on an amazing light show for Christmas — and it is truly fun for the whole family. From Christmas classics to more modern songs to 45 min – 1-hour long show will wow you with magnificent lights and music!

Annandale Christmas House

1280 4 Ave S

Built-in 1909 by a Lethbridge-based lawyer, Lewis Martin Johnson, the Annandale house boosts the adaptation of the more sophisticated style and design preferred by the upper-middle-class in the early year of the 20th century. Located on a beautifully landscaped corner lot the Annandale house is decorated with lights, statues and more! As you walk through the display you are sure to feel the holiday spirit in the dark nights.

Due to COVID, the indoor tours will not be offered this year but the outdoor light display will still be available. Please remember to follow all CDC and Alberta Government guidelines while visiting.

Christmas with the Caldwells

If you’re over on the West side of town there are even more lights to see! Christmas with the Caldwells is a beautiful display of lights with an equally as beautiful cause; when you go to visit — if you can — bring a donation to their Toy and Food Drive to help those in need. Fill your heart with the holiday spirit and help others this year too!
