Best Places to e-Scooter in Lethbridge
Henderson Lake Park
What’s big, full of trees, and has water all over? Henderson Lake Park, of course! This picturesque location is good for more than just a walk in the park; it’s also a great place to ride Bird e-scooters! Just be aware you can’t park them inside of the park boundary, but just outside of the park is fine!
Once you have your Bird e-Scooter and make your way over to Henderson Lake Park, you can enjoy the scenic views or take a pit stop at one of the many amazing attractions in the area. The Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden is one such attraction. With both the Bunka Centre and Cleo’s Café inside, this stop is sure to be both informative and refreshing!
From Henderson Lake Park, you have endless options! You can head to the delicious Firestone Restaurant in the Coast Hotel that's just a few minutes ride away, or you can follow the Lakeview Green Strip that runs along Glacier Drive South and stop for a sweet treat. Swirls Ice Cream and the Soda Mill are two of our favourite nearby options!
If you want to stay a little closer to the lake, you can always stop by the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre, where the Saturday Famers' Market is hosted alongside many other events throughout the year. If you're more of a sports fan, you can also catch a baseball game at the Spitz Stadium; just make sure to cheer extra loud for the Lethbridge Bulls!
7th Ave/Bike Boulevard
Connecting to Henderson Lake Park via 7th Avenue, the road going past Henderson Pool and SLP Skate Park is the beginning of the bike boulevard! While it may be titled for bikes, any wheeled transportation can benefit from its seclusion and separation from other main streets! Take a scenic ride from Henderson Lake down the Bike Boulevard and enjoy the canopy of trees over the road and the beautiful houses lining it.
There are lots of businesses just a block or two away from the Bike Boulevard! Head down one avenue to 6th Ave S, where you can find some delicious local ice cream from Milkman Milk Bar! You can also try heading one block up from Bike Boulevard to 8th Ave S for a light snack and cup of tea at The Jasmine Room. No matter where on the Bike Boulevard you are, there’s something scrumptious just around the corner!
Downtown Lethbridge
Conveniently, Bike Boulevard connects to Lethbridge's downtown core, which might be the most opportune place in the city to use a Bird e-scooter! With so many local businesses like Cookie Crimes, Sill & Soil, and Analog Books all on Festival Square, as well as the many local attractions in the area, Bird e-scooters are the best way to experience all the best things in downtown Lethbridge!
Head into Galt Gardens just across the street from Casa to enjoy some time in the sun or even have a splash at the Rotary Centennial Fountain! From there, you can stay put and head to Southern Alberta Art Gallery to view incredible local art from around the city, province, and country! Next, you can take a stroll around Festival Square to shop, eat, and enjoy all the local businesses!
If the arts aren't your thing, and shopping doesn't pique your interest, maybe some hard facts and history are more up your alley! Head to the Galt Museum & Archives to learn about the history of our incredible city!
