The Dog Days of Summer are here. With over 230 km of paved and natural trails to explore with your furry friend within the city, over ten pet-friendly hotels, and 11 pet stores, Lethbridge welcomes dogs and their owners to visit and enjoy our city.

Whether you’re visiting or a local, help us keep our beautiful city clean with 224 doggie poop bag dispensers throughout the city. You are never far from a place to grab a poop bag just in case business gets done on your walk. And remember, if they poop, you scoop it! It is important to have good control at every off-leash park in Lethbridge. It is very important to have good voice control over your dog, as Popson Park is home to rattlesnakes that are native to southern Alberta. North Lethbridge Peeniquim Park Dog Run is great for off-leash fun! A fenced area allows animals to socialize and train your puppy to make friends, and open trails circle towards the river. For extra fun, a community toy box is located next to the fenced area for you to enjoy as you and your pup walk through the park. West Lethbridge Enjoy a walk through the west coulees at Popson Park. With easy access to the Oldman River, this is a great place to take your dog for a dip on a hot summer day. South Lethbridge The Scenic Drive Dog Runs is an off-leash unfencedwith 2km of limestone pathway that loops through the coulees and boasts spectacular views of the coulees and the architecturally significant University of Lethbridge across the river. The Scenic Drive Dog Run is perfect for early morning or evening walks with your dog!
