Lethbridge isn’t Lethbridge without the arts. From live music to art exhibits to theatre performances, the city’s creativity always shines. Throughout the year there are multiple opportunities to experience Lethbridge’s creativity, but New West Theatre's yearly lineup is perhaps the most anticipated by visitors and city-dwellers alike.
New West Theatre is a staple of our community and has been making audiences laugh, cry, and sing along for the past 35 years. They are a non-profit organization who aim to engage a wide audience with diverse theatre productions that never fail to inspire. This summer they are very excited to announce their upcoming 2025-26 season! Each and every performance will have you exclaiming,“That was scene-sational!”
Mainstage Series
Decades: Remixed
August 7-23, 2025
Die-hard fans of New West Theatre may remember their 2022 show Decades, which took audiences on a blast to the past. This electrifying sequel explores the iconic sounds of the past, exploring each decade and genre through a mix of throwbacks, relics, and reminders of years gone by. For the younger audience members in the room, this show will have you finally understanding why your parents can’t stop talking about the amazing music that existed back in their day! Turn on your musical ears and prepare to have these songs stuck in your head all week long.
Clue: On Stage
September 5-20, 2025
This year New West Theatre brings a classic board game to life. Based on the 1985 cult classic, this murder mystery will have you questioning your every intuition. Was it Professor Plum in the kitchen with a wrench? Or perhaps Mrs. Peacock in the lounge with a knife? You will be on the edge of your seat all night long as the pieces come together in this thrilling performance. Or maybe put your detective hat on and try to figure it out before the players. Whatever you choose, this performance won't be one to miss!
Holiday Rock

During the Christmas season, there’s Noel time like the present to attend the theatre. Whether you’re looking for a reason to take a break from those pesky in-laws, or simply want to spend some quality time with your friends and family, New West Theatre’s holiday extravaganza will have you laughing out loud. They're putting the jingle in jingle bells and the jolly in a holly jolly Christmas. In their own words, this performance is a sleigh-load of fun that you won’t want to miss.
The Birds & The Bees
February 12-21, 2025
That awkward talk with your parents about the birds and the bees? We’ve all been there. This year, New West Theatre explores this hilarious theme by staging a Canadian comedy featuring a mother-daughter duo who juggle love, life, and second chances. Family secrets are uncovered, and love affairs begin to bloom. This feel-good story has plenty of humorous moments, but enough heart that you will leave the theatre with a new understanding of the messy magic of human connection.

Gordon Lightfoot is a Canadian legend who reached worldwide success. He even helped define what it meant to be a singer-songwriter in the 1970s. In this tribute, New West Theatre’s amazing actors and musicians showcase Lightfoot’s beloved classics and honour his legacy. With their powerful voices and heartfelt performances, this night is sure to be one of unforgettable stories, moving melodies, and national pride.

Britain’s Finest—A Complete Beatles Experience

The era of the Beatles has often been dubbed the golden age of rock n’ roll. Unfortunately, the Beatles disbanded in 1970, leaving us deprived of their performances and always craving more. But Lethbridge is in luck. New West Theatre has decided to revive the classics and bring the Beatles to our own backyard! With classics such as “Abbey Road”and “Let It Be”, authentic costumes, and era-accurate instruments, we know that this show really will be the complete Beatles experience. After sitting in the audience, you’ll be stuck humming tunes all week long.

Prairie Moon: A Neil Young Experience
