A Students Guide to Lethbridge Coffee Shops
Having lived and gone to school inLethbridge for most of my life, I have tried almost every coffee shop inLethbridge. Though I'm not a coffee connoisseur and have recently found myselfdrinking more tea than I'd like to admit, I encourage coffee and teaenthusiasts alike to check out these coffee shops that are near and dear to myheart.
arise
Although I haven't been to Arise myself, they deserve a mention on this list. Arise is definitely on my bucket list tovisit because I am, unfortunately, lactose intolerant. That is far from anissue at Arise, however. Their focus on vegan coffee and baked goods means Ican enjoy a stress-free treat as environmentally friendly as it isdelicious.
The Penny Coffee House
Whether you're just looking for a drink topush you through the school day or a weekend brunch spot with friends, thePenny has everything you need for a quick catch-up or a long-haul studysession. The beautiful copper ceiling and local art covering the wallscontribute to this coffee shop's welcoming ambience known locally. The coffeeis delicious (and comes with a small ginger cookie!) No matter your taste, there's something for everyone on their food menu. My personal favourites arethe cinnamon twists or strawberry muffins. Still, their breakfast wraps aredelicious and a more filling choice.
Bread Milk and Honey
Bread Milk and Honey has been my go-tostudy spot for countless chemistry, biology, and everything in-between studyingsessions in high school. Between their delicious food, baked goods, and coffee, even the worst homework feels like a breeze. Bread Milk and Honey is theperfect spot for any occasion where coffee is involved. My go-to order hasalways been their Caesar wrap and the chocolate cream pie, even if my lactoseintolerance gravely disagrees. My coffee order is a constant conveyor belt, soI can't choose a favourite!
Sonder
Number one on this list is none other thanSonder Coffee. Sonder has been a long-time personal favourite and will be forthe foreseeable future. This coffee shop features delicious specialty wafflesalongside their artfully crafted drinks. They have an attractive building thatprovides the perfect place to sit and have brunch if coffee on the go isn't foryou. My go-to drink here is a London fog with almond milk. On the topic ofwaffles, Sonder has something for everyone. If the societally standard sweet waffleisn't your vibe, Sonder has you covered with their savoury selection. Myall-time favourite waffle is the "Brie and Bacon," a waffle toppedwith brie, bacon, basil pesto, and cherry tomatoes.
These aren't the only great coffee shops inthe city, though; these are my favourites! Wherever you are staying in thecity, Starbucks and Tim Hortons are far from your only coffee options here inLethbridge. Our local Lethbridge coffee shops will have you excited and ontothe next thing all day long!
