Pavan Park
Pavan Park is a 125 hectare natural park on the city’s northern edge. The park contains over 10km of paved and aggregate walking and hiking trails and is the only park that allows horseback riding within the city. Pavan is home to diverse plant and wildlife populations including deer, porcupine, raccoons, coyotes, rabbits, geese, loons and many more, making the area perfect for photos, a stroll, hiking or simply to escape the city without traveling far.
Bring a lunch and head to the Jean Sauve picnic area on the north end of the park, with tables, summer washrooms, large nature themed playground, horseshoe pits and more trails to discover, there is something for everyone to explore in Pavan Park. Please note that washrooms are seasonal and closed during winter months.
