Lethbridge Symphony
The Lethbridge Symphony was formed in 1961 by local musicians. As they grew, the orchestra began to recruit other musical groups in the area. Now, the orchestra is occupied by several experienced musicians in key positions such as wind, percussion, and brass. In 2007 they began cooperating with the University of Lethbridge, giving students the opportunity to improve and learn to perform live. The LSO has many opportunities for kids to get into music as well with their kids choir and workshops. They have also worked alongside several local organisations within the city to provide marginalised communities explore and enjoy music. Since its creation, the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra has brought classical music to the present so that we can enjoy it within our community.
