Dinosaur Provincial Park

Calling all archeologists and dino lovers! Dinosaur Provincial Park is your place to find some of the best-preserved and most significant concentrations of fossils worldwide. Dinosaur Provincial Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for being the location where some of the world's best preserved dinosaur fossils have been found.

Dinosaur Park Visitor Information Centre

Dinosaur Provincial Park features a variety of different amenities for the site's visitors. This site has many interactive exhibits, including the 80-seat Sternberg-Anderson Theatre, a functioning summer research station. The centre includes public bathrooms and staff answering visitor questions.

Trails

The park features trails to hike through to get a better experience of the landscape. The park area has 4.8 K.M. of trails, including the Cottonwood Flats, Coulee Viewpoint, and Fossil Hunters' Trail. These trails vary in length, from 0.3KM to 1.5 K.M.

Palaeontology and Research

Dinosaur Provincial Park has a close relationship with the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller. The Provincial Park features an actual archeological dig site active during the summer months. Visitors can get a tour of the active excavation site and experience the thrill.

Camping and Comfort Camping

If you want to stay in the Provincial Park for a night or two, you can pitch a tent in the campground or reserve a Comfort Camping tent. 

The camping area can be booked online. The Comfort Camping option gives you two choices in the placement of the tent.
