The Highway 3 Ale Trail is made up of eight unique breweries located across four different cities, and each taproom offers delicious brews while also showcasing Southern Alberta's welcoming and authentic spirit. Visitors to the breweries can chat with the brewers, sample new beers, and swap stories with fellow beer enthusiasts. Spectrum Ale Works
Spectrum Ale Works prides itself on "beer that's dialled in”, and the brewery is committed to producing quality craft beer using the best ingredients that support the local economy. You'll find a selection of ales and more on their core and seasonal menus, all with an aim to please the palate of both the beer novice and the connoisseur.
Theoretically Brewing
Boasting a cool, urban patio in Lethbridge's warehouse district, Theoretically Brewing uses local malt-barley growers, malters, and hops farms to brew "approachable yet intriguing ales." LGBTQIA+ owned, the brewery specializes in European-inspired ales.



Medicine Hat Breweries
Medicine Hat is found approximately 160 kilometres east of Lethbridge, and contains the most eastern breweries of the Highway 3 Ale Trail.
Hell’s Basement Brewery
With a name you won't soon forget, Hell’s Basement Brewery was inspired by Rudyard Kipling's description of the “Hat.” The brewery has a passion for quality, innovation, and tradition, believing that each sip tells a story. Beers brewed include Hefes, New Zealand Pale Ale, and sours.



Medicine Hat Brewing Company
The Medicine Hat Brewing Company hearkens back to the original brewery that served from 1912 until prohibition, re-opening in 2016. Many of their beers are named for people and places of note, serving timeless craft beer with a splash of creativity.
Travois Ale Works
Housed in a beautiful historic building, Travois Ale Works serves American and traditional European ales with an innovative spin. The taproom offers a nod to the past, boasting that this is where “beer meets history.”

Fort Macleod Breweries
Fort Macleod is found approximately 50 kilometres west of Lethbridge.


Stronghold Brewing
You’ll find Stronghold Brewing in Fort Macleod, only thirty minutes west of Lethbridge. The brewery is located on the historic main street, which you might recognize from Hollywood blockbusters like Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Stronghold brews approachable beer and "fun styles for seasoned craft drinkers."
Crowsnest Pass Breweries
These Crowsnest Pass Breweries are found in Lundbreck and Blairmore. Lundbreck is 114 kilometres west of Lethbridge, and Blairmore is 138 kilometres west of Lethbridge.


Oldman River Brewing
Go west and expand your craft beer horizons to the newest frontiers! Anchored on the edge of the Crowsnest Pass in the rolling foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Lundbreck is home to Oldman River Brewing. Their patio is dog-friendly and their taproom serves a variety of beer as well as locally-sourced food.
The Pass Beer Company
Keep going west along Highway 3 and you'll arrive in Blairmore, which is home to The Pass Beer Company. Serving delicious Southern Alberta brews, you can conquer the nearby Turtle Mountain hike and then reward yourself with a round at this small batch brewhouse.
