Due to the extraordinary circumstances, the world is now facing some may be finding it difficult to get out and about or to find the items they are looking for. With everything that is going on in the world the Lethbridge Community is stronger than ever, and working together to help those in need is just one of those ways. In hopes to help make your life easier, we have compiled a list of stores and groups working to make everyone can get the supplies and food they need.
Lethbridge Support Circle
Lethbridge Support Circle is a locally run Facebook group that has a focus on helping and connecting the community in the extraordinary circumstances the world is facing. Whether you need sugar, craft supplies, or just a person to talk to this group is the place to post it. Purple Carrot
Purple Carrot is a local Health Food Store who’s owner and staff “are SUPER passionate about health and want to make sure our amazing customers and community still have access to the products they need”. Mocha Local
Have you always wanted to try one of the food delivery boxes? Well now is your chance, Mocha local is a local company that partners with local companies and farmers to provide essential food boxes and meal kits to the Southern Alberta area. The essential boxes include meats, cheese, veggies pasta, rice, canola oil, dessert, and a salad dressing, all the essentials you’ll need for a week's worth of food. HelloChef
LA Chefs is proud to present its new subsidiary — HelloChef! HelloChef will help provide the community of Lethbridge to meet their basic needs in this time of crisis. HelloChef's first product will be Kitchen Basic Box which will have the option of ready-made menus or make it your self option — both will include health fresh options for you and your family to enjoy! Their first product will be available on order starting March 30 from the LA Chefs website.
Remember to Support Local
This is a hard time for us all, and some of the local restaurants can’t afford to close their doors. Some of the best ways we can support them buy a gift card to use later, order takeout or delivery. Simply Delivery, Skip the Dishes, and Uber Eats are great ways to find local restaurants and enjoy their great food from the comfort of your own home. Another great option is calling your favourite local restaurant and see if they’re open — many local restaurants are also offering discounts if you order delivery over the phone.
