Join us for the OPENING RECEPTION of Things Ninosôm Says, an art exhibition by local artist Kylie Fineday. 

  • Doors open at 7pm
  • Saskatchewan blues musician Lance Whitecalf performing at 8pm. 

Kylie Fineday is an emerging multi-disciplinary Cree artist from Sweetgrass First Nation, SK. She is currently in her fourth year of study at the University of Lethbridge. Her work has been featured in various exhibitions in Lethbridge, AB, through such institutions as the Southern Alberta Art Gallery, CASA, and the University of Lethbridge. In the spring of 2018, she curated the main gallery exhibition, Animating the Archive, for the University of Lethbridge Art Gallery as part of a museum studies internship. In 2017, she was the recipient the Student Art Purchase award at the University of Lethbridge.
"My identity as a Cree woman is present in much of my art practice. I work with themes that pertain to my own identity and family history, as well as various issues related to Indigenous experience and perceptions. Humor is something I like to incorporate into my practice."
