Nikka Yuko Winter Light Festival

Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden

December - February

Every year Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden lights up the dark on winter nights with a dazzling display of lights. The garden is drenched in an array of colourful lights, with beautiful displays placed around the garden. While the plants may be hibernating for the season, and are missing their blossoms and leaves, the holidays still burst to life with colour and beauty at the Nikka Yuko Winter Light Festival. Open 4 - 9 PM with last Entry at 8:30, operating Thursday - Sunday in December, Thursday - Saturday in January, and Friday - Saturday in February. Don't miss your chance to see one of the most beloved holiday traditions in Lethbridge!

Christmas at the Fort

December 9 – 10 & 16 – 17th @ 1 – 5 PM

For Whoop-Up Replica Fort

Celebrate the holidays with at the Fort Whoop-Up Replica fort in the river valley this holiday season with the “Christmas at the Fort” holiday event! For two weekends, visitors can take a festive stroll through the fort, and learn about the history of Lethbridge, along with participating in holiday festivities around the fort. From horse drawn carriage rides, Christmas tree ornament decorating, Napi’s Santa show, a roaring outdoor fire and even collecting hand forged trinkets form the blacksmith, the holidays are best experienced at Fort Whoop-Up!

Elf the Musical

December 14th – 31st (Showtimes vary)

Yates Memorial Theatre

Santa’s coming to town! But until then, why not take the family to watch a live performance of ELF! The Musical put on by New West Theatre form de ember 14th – 31st at Yates memorial theatre. Taking the classic holiday movie and adapting the story to the stage with original songs makes this a holiday experience in Lethbridge that you won’t want to miss! Stars on Ice

December 19th @ 7 PM

Are you ready to be dazzled by these stars on ice? Get ready for the Stars on Ice performance to make its way to Lethbridge this December at the Lethbridge Enmax Centre, where you’ll be able to watch a star-studded cast f Olympic skaters and national medallists will leave you awestruck. Ticket are on sale now, with the addition of meet and greet passes for sale to add even more magic and wonder to this incredible holiday event happening in Lethbridge. Don’t miss you chance to see some of Canada’s greatest skaters take to the ice inside the Lethbridge Enmax Centre this holiday season!

Holiday Tunes with Mr. Chris Roedler

December 20th @ 2 – 3 PM

Ring in the Holiday cheer and get together with locals in the community to enjoy some holiday tunes with Mr. Chris Roedler at the Galt Museum & Archives. Sit back, relax, and let the Galt Museum & Archives very own Chris Roedler sing some holiday classics, personal favourite, and all the timeless Christmas holiday tunes. Just make sure to bring your singing voice along to join in on the fun.
